Syndicate Series – Record Participants & New Bonus Structure

Following a fourteen-event series of Syndicate Showcase Race Days that took place all over the country throughout 2025, the winners have been crowned.  The Series was put together by the Racehorse Syndicates Association (RSA) and The Jockey Club, whose courses hosted the fourteen events.  It was also supported by Great British Racing (GBR).

Syndicate Series race days took place all over the country across fixtures staged at JCR courses as far apart as Carlisle and Exeter. Providing an excellent opportunity for racegoers to find out more about syndicates and racing clubs, they helped to showcase that there are ownership options at all price points with horses trained across the whole of the UK.

Syndicators could exhibit for free at each event and meet racegoers, plus enjoy enhanced raceday perks for their owners when they fielded a runner. Runners also earned points towards bonuses, as Great British Racing and the RSA sponsored various prizes for the exhibitors and syndicates with runners at the racedays.

The main bonus category awarded points for runners and bonus points for winners and was won by Middleham Park Racing, who have decided to donate their £3000 prize to various racing charities.

Middleham Park Racing’s Tom Palin said “We were delighted to win the overall series and we feel, that given there were several horses that were responsible for the overall prize, we will donating the winnings to a few charity partners.”

In addition to the main bonus there was a prize draw for small syndicates with runners at the race days and for syndicates who supported the days by exhibiting in the showcase zones.

Legacy Racing Club won the small syndicates prize of £500 and RaceShare won the exhibitor bonus of £500.

Ash White of RaceShare said “We are very keen supporters of the Racehorse Syndicates Association. There are some high quality syndicates providing excellent services to their owners and we hope to see this market continue to thrive, as well as being well-regulated.”

Ben O’Neill of Legacy Racing added “Winning this prize was a wonderful surprise and we’re hugely grateful to the RSA, The Jockey Club and Great British Racing for putting on such a positive initiative for syndicates. The Exeter race day was a great experience for our members and really highlighted how enjoyable and accessible syndicate ownership can be. It’s brilliant to see smaller syndicates being encouraged and recognised in this way. Thank you!”

The Racehorse Syndicate Association Chairman Dan Abraham said: “The Racehorse Syndicates Association are always looking to promote shared ownership and we were grateful to Jockey Club Racecourses for hosting the 2025 series and to Great British Racing for their support.  We are working with the Racehorse Owners Association to put together a series of similar race days in 2026, more details to follow in due course.”

The Jockey Club’s Tommy Williams said: “I was delighted to put forward the proposed series to my colleagues in JCR and we were all very happy to host and support the events. Our congratulations to all the prize winners and thanks to all the syndicates who supported the various racedays”
