It’s always gratifying to see syndicates doing well, often against owners with far superior financial firepower. It’s not often however that you see not one, but two RSA members sharing the laurels – but this is exactly what is happening with exciting Havana Gold three-year-old El Caballo, trained by Karl Burke. Co-owned by syndicators Grange Park Racing, and Owners For Owners this horse has caught they eye of many in the racing press in the last few weeks, recording wins at Newcastle and most recently landing the Listed Coral Spring Cup Stakes at Lingfield on Saturday March 5th.
Jockey Sam James stated after the race “He impressed me from the two to the one furlong pole, he really quickened and stretched them and wasn’t really doing a lot at the line”
Trainer Karl notably stated a short while back that he believes this horse is Group class after the win at Newcastle – and, having virtually made all in his most recent Listed run there’s little at the moment based on current form that would make many disagree.
