Like everyone else in racing the RSA was immensely saddened to learn of the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
It cannot be understated what enthusiasm and knowledge Queen Elizabeth brought to the sport of Horse Racing and tributes have been pouring in from all over the racing spectrum. Many of our members have been posting their own tributes, with some fondly remembering occasions Her Majesty presented their trophy.
Queen Elizabeth’s passing leaves a huge hole in the sport – however we feel certain that the affinity between royalty and racing will remain unbroken for many years to come.
