We’re absolutely thrilled for owners from RSA member Deva Racing whose Royal Mews, trained by Bhupat Seemar and ridden by UAE champion jockey Tadhg O’Shea won the valuable Azizi Mina Handicap in the second fixture of the Dubai World Cup Carnival at Meydan on Jan 13th, making this latest victory their second win over in Dubai.
The 6 year-old chestnut gelding was always handy, and quickened up nicely over the final 2f to take the honours in style on the line from rival Down On Da Bayou in a very close finish.
Ryan Tongue, Director of Deva Racing said:
“We thought it would be a great idea to have a syndicated horse over there, and who better to have the horse with than Champion Trainer Bhupat Seemar and Champion Jockey Tadgh O’Shea?
It was absolutely wonderful for the owners, some of whom were over there whilst others travelled from the UK to watch the race. They had a fantastic time – Meydan looked after them very, very well.”
He added: “It was fantastic to have a winner in Dubai on Friday evening. A huge thanks to Tadgh O’Shea, Bhupat Seemar and the whole team at Zabeel Racing Stables. The owners are absolutely over the moon and we’re thrilled to be part of the fantastic racing that is going on in Dubai”
A huge congratulations to connections and the Deva Racing team – we can’t wait to see what comes next for this talented gelding as he continues his career in Dubai.
