The Racehorse Syndicate Association (RSA) partnered with several courses managed by Jockey Club Racecourses throughout 2024 to promote syndication and shared ownership.

Seven “syndicate showcase” fixtures took place across the country, both on the flat and over jumps and these allowed racegoers to find out more about shared ownership with members of the RSA exhibiting at each race day.

As well as being able to exhibit, RSA members with runners were offered additional owners badges for their members.

Across the seven fixtures, a bonus scheme was made available, with RSA members scoring ten points for each runner, with an additional two points awarded to any runner that went on to win their race.  Standings were issued to RSA members on a regular basis and competition for the £1000 bonus pot was hotly contested.  24 RSA member syndicates scored points and the destination of the bonus was not decided until the very last race day as RSA members battled for the top spot.

At the conclusion of the last fixture, the standings showed a three way tie and the bonus pot was therefore shared between Kim Bailey Racing Syndicates, Racehorse Ownership Club and Ursa Major Racing.  A late Christmas gift for those syndicates and their members.

RSA Chairman, Dan Abraham said, “We are grateful to Jockey Club Racecourses for partnering with us to promote syndication and shared ownership, and our thanks go to Tommy Williams, general manager at Warwick Racecourse and RSA Committee member who facilitated the scheduling of this series of race days.  Thanks also to Great British Racing for their support of the showcase fixtures.  It was great to see some friendly competition between our members for the RSA bonus and several of them also took the opportunity to showcase their offerings, engaging with racegoers to highlight the fun and engagement that involvement in racehorse ownership at any level can provide.  After the success of the 2024 events, we are already discussing repeating the series in 2025.”
