Group winning syndicate and founder RSA member Heart of the South Racing will celebrate their 25th year of successfully running syndicates in 2020, so it was fantastic to see them secure their first winner of the year, thanks to Ruby Yeats at Fontwell Park on Sunday 26th January. The Gary Moore trained 9yo mare made some serious jumping errors early on but soon found her feet and won a tad cosily by 8½ lengths thanks to a fantastic ride from Josh Moore. Ruby Yeats is currently leased to Heart of the South Owners by Gary Moore after their initial horse required some time on the sidelines due to an unfortunate injury. There were 27 owners in attendance when Ruby Yeats secured her latest win so you can imagine the cheer she received as she returned to the winners enclosure! The horse very happily posed for individual photos with a number of owners too which really made their day. Gary Moore was equally as delighted with the win and said “Heart of the South Racing have been long supporters of mine and after a bit of bad luck with their previous horse I wanted to give them Ruby Yeats on loan to enjoy some National Hunt fun this winter. I am delighted she won for them and I believe she is capable of winning over hurdles again.
