It might have been the last race at Aintree on Saturday, but the vast winners enclosure was packed when Hogan’s Height was lead in by trainer Jamie Snowden following his win in the Grand Sefton Chase at Aintree on Saturday.
Dan Abraham, Syndicate Manager for Foxtrot Racing explains “Jamie Snowden suggested giving the owners’ a day out at Aintree before he qualifies to go Hunter Chasing on 1st January. What a day out it proved to be”.
The 20 strong syndicate watched Hogan’s Height jump heroically around the National course before sprinting clear to win by 16 lengths. A 16-1 winner won’t ever be greater with a louder roar, as Foxtrot Racing Members and their friends and family shouted him home.
Jackie Kneller, one of the Foxtrot Members was in tears in the winners enclosure “It’s one of the best day of my life, just incredible. Having a runner was fantastic, having an Aintree winner is a dream come true”.
With plans to go Hunter Chasing now abandoned, Hogan’s Height will be aimed at the Grand National on 4th April.
Jamie Snowden is just as excited as his owners “To have a horse in the Grand National will be amazing for the syndicate, their family and their friends. We’ll see it as a day out to enjoy whatever the outcome, but we’ll all be dreaming of a big run”.
Should Hogan’s Height win the Grand National, Aintree will have never seen celebrations like it!
